The Very Hungry Caterpillar Story Walk
Based on the popular children’s book by Eric Carle, this interactive exhibit is being hosted now through June 30. In a larger-than-life story walk, families have the opportunity to read their way through the exhibit. The beloved story teaches the process of metamorphosis while integrating counting and days of the week. This exhibit is included with the cost of admission and is located in the “Alabama Wilds” section of the park.
Zoo Brews: Drafts at a Distance
This event is one of the most popular 21+ events hosted at the Zoo every year, so you’ll want to mark your calendars now for May 21 from 5- 8 p.m. This year tickets are limited to allow for ample social distancing. However, craft beer lovers can still taste and sample brews and wine from all over the state and Southeast. Also available for purchase are great bites from local food trucks as well as the zoo’s Wild Burger restaurant. Euphonious Music Festival
A new type of music festival is coming to Birmingham June 18- 20 at the Zoo. This tech-minded festival features a great lineup of talented musicians and tech companies you may not see regularly in Birmingham. Henley Park, the new concert venue at the Zoo plays host to this festival Father’s Day weeked. Two different types of tickets are available for purchase, and you can learn more here.
